Week 2: North Texas’ Biggest Games & Our Predictions
Week 1 of high school football across North Texas was absolutely wild, to say the least.
After a statement win over Duncanville, Allen enters Week 2 as the No. 1 team in the area and now prepares for a DeSoto team coming off a tough trip to Florida. DeSoto faced the No. 1 team in the nation, St. Thomas Aquinas, and now returns home for another massive matchup against Allen.
Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll and North Crowley are both coming off statement victories and will meet in one of the most highly anticipated games of this loaded pre-district slate.
We’ll also see perennial powerhouses Coppell and Waxahachie go head-to-head, while Austin Westlake is at home again after an impressive win over California powerhouse Inglewood to take on Trinity Euless.
And that’s just the beginning.
Other notable matchups include Denton Guyer vs. Melissa, Prosper vs. North Forney, Byron Nelson vs. Lewisville, Highland Park vs. Rockwall-Heath, Hebron vs. Walnut Grove, Mansfield Timberview vs. Denton Ryan, Mansfield vs. Mansfield Summit, Burleson vs. Burleson Centennial, and Mansfield Legacy vs. Little Elm.
